We organize comparisons around market access, account stage, loss limits, total costs and payout eligibility. A maximum profit share or advertised balance does not establish the best fit for a trader.
Our pages draw on the cited provider documents and identify uncertainty where terms are missing or conflicting. We do not assign a verified safety score from marketing claims. See the research methodology and review criteria.
Traditional proprietary trading involves a firm trading its own capital. Retail evaluation businesses use a different entry model: a customer pays for an account or test and trades within specified rules. Many stages are simulated, including accounts marketed as funded. Any reward or live transition depends on the agreement.
A nominal account balance is not a cash deposit you own and cannot usually be withdrawn. Fees, resets and add-ons can be lost even when no personal brokerage capital is placed in trades. Read the prop-firm explainer and the risk warning.
A two-step route has two evaluation phases. A one-step route has one. The number of phases alone says little about difficulty: targets, daily limits, drawdown, consistency and costs can all differ.
Instant funding normally means no separate evaluation, not no rules or immediate withdrawal eligibility. Confirm whether the account is simulated and whether it supports the market you trade. Compare challenge structures and instant-funding distinctions.
Compare the loss floor before comparing nominal balances. A static floor, an end-of-day trailing floor and an intraday trailing floor react differently to the same sequence of trades. An end-of-day recalculation does not mean you can breach the existing floor during the session.
Check daily loss, consistency, qualifying days, news restrictions and the effect of withdrawals separately. Permission in the evaluation does not automatically carry into a funded stage. Start with drawdown mechanics, rule guides and payout requirements.
No. Read the account agreement; funded-stage trading can be simulated, with rewards governed by the provider's terms.
No. Entry and withdrawal conditions are separate. Buffers, qualifying days, minimum amounts and verification can still apply.
Include recurring charges, resets, activation, data, commissions and add-ons. Compare several realistic timelines rather than assuming the fastest possible pass.
Not by itself. It may require scaling, a particular reward cycle or legacy eligibility. Check the share and conditions applicable to your own purchase.
